Deke Welling, is Founder and President of Hondo Energy Resources LLC. Mr. Welling has an extensive background in financing oil and gas drilling and development projects extending throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Mr. Welling has created professional relationships with key personnel within the oil and gas industry to accomplish Hondo Energy Resources main objectives in providing low-risk, profitable ventures for prospective partners. Mr. Welling will also have the responsibility for overall operations, long-range planning, targeting potential acquisitions and helping structure performance economics for its exploration and developmental programs.

Mr. Welling’s focus has been centralized primarily in unconventional gas plays since mid 2002. Beginning in the Barnett shale, Mr. Welling Helped develop and finance 17 wells with 16 wells commercially producing. In June of 2006, Mr. Welling teamed up with Michael Hornibrook of Hornibrook Oil and Gas Company to obtain the drilling rights of over 3,500 acres in the Fayetteville shale. With lease acquisitions, rig commitments and drilling permits in place, Hondo Energy Resources and Hornibrook Oil and Gas Company has an aggressive drilling program in place to facilitate the companies plan over the next 4 plus years with additional lease acquisitions still taking place.
